Amanda Sellars/Treadway, 1837-1912

Amanda (Mandy) Sellars was born March 31st, 1837 in Thomas County, Georgia. Mandy was the daughter of John and Lucretia Sellers.

Amanda married James Wilson Treadway in Mississippi (probably Attala County where the Sellers & Treadways lived).

Their 6 children were:

William H. Treadway
Dudley Townsend Treadway.
Dudley married Laura J. Jones
Georgia Treadway/Sellars.
Georgia married John W. Sellars (her cousin)
Laura Treadway/Petrus.
Married Ferdinand Petrus
Augusta A. Treadway/Miller/Brazzel.
Augusta married first S. E. Miller, and then ? Brazzel
Mary Emma Treadway/Bradford/Huffman.
Mary Emma married Samuel Bradford then H. W. Huffman

Mandy divorced James Wilson Treadway on November 12th, 1879 in Alexandria. She moved to Vernon Parish to live with her mother, Lucretia Sellers.

Mandy died of pneumonia on 7 March 1912 (just a month before the sinking of the Titanic) and is buried in Provencal, Louisiana.
